"When I take a Photograph I look for more than a record of a particular moment, I try to lock in a combination of emotions, place, time, composition, feeling, or story. Often I capture a still image that moves, not meaning physically moving, but an image when looked at will move your spirit, sometimes you see an image and you realise that the image is all about you, there is more there than meets the eye, you fall into the image and try and understand what it has to teach you, you try to understand why it is important to you and why you connect with it. It’s then you realise these wonderful, spirit moving images are there for you every moment of your life, they are truly all about you".

Born in Sydney in 1956, Mick Dwyer's first brush with photography came when his grandfather gave him his first camera at the age of 8, always an enthusiastic photographer Mick's creative mind took him first to music and then art, later became a National Sports Coach before re-focusing his his energy into Photography.

Initially working as a Portrait and fashion photographer, essentially with the hair and beauty industry, Mick bit the bullet and established Svelte Imagery in 1998 with the intention of specialising in landscape, macro and art images, that would appeal to sophisticated market.

Mick has created some beautiful and unique high-quality images that can be reproduced on Archival fine art paper, canvas or acrylic mediums while providing a secure and easy-to-use online store for purchasing.
